CSAS 2nd Graders Learn About Jackie Robinson During Black History Month

Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse 2nd Graders Complete Jackie Robinson Project

Wednesday, February 15th, 2023: During Black History Month, Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse 2nd-grade Atoms in Mrs. Conroy & Mr. Palerino's class did a project on Jackie Robinson. Atoms read books about Jackie Robinson and then wrote what they learned about this famous baseball player. The students were interested in hearing how he broke the color barrier in baseball and stood up for equal rights before he started playing baseball.

It was a very informative lesson for our scholars!
