Wednesday. March 18th, 2026: Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Junior-Senior High School invites families to Parent-Teacher Conference Night on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM!
We understand evenings can be busy, so we’re making it easy for families to stay connected with their scholar’s education. Take this opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers and enjoy pizza while you’re here!

Monday, March 9th, 2026: Families are invited to attend the upcoming Parent Involvement Committee Meeting on Monday, March 9th, at 5:30 PM. This meeting is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to connect with one another and learn more about how they can support their scholar’s growth and success at Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Junior-Senior High School.
During the meeting, families will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other parents, learn ways to get involved in the school community, ask questions, and receive helpful information. Important updates and topics that impact our scholars will also be discussed.
We value family engagement and encourage all parents and guardians to attend. Your voice and participation are important to our school community.

Tuesday, March 24th, 2026: Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse families and community members are invited to participate in the upcoming review of Policy 3140, the district-level Parent and Family Engagement Policy for our Title I schools.
The purpose of this meeting is to evaluate the content and effectiveness of the policy in improving academic outcomes for all students. Participants will:
Review how the policy supports student achievement
Discuss barriers to greater parent and family involvement
Identify the needs of families in supporting their children’s learning
Explore strategies to strengthen school–family partnerships
Family input is essential to ensuring our policies reflect the needs of our community. We encourage all interested parents and guardians to attend and share their feedback as we work together to support student success.

Wednesday, March 4th, 2026: Today, we celebrate the heroes behind the scenes who keep our schools running smoothly. Happy Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day!
From early mornings to late afternoons, our maintenance team works tirelessly to ensure our classrooms are clean, safe, and ready for learning. Whether it’s fixing, building, cleaning, or preparing for special events, they are always there with a smile and a solution.
Because of their hard work and dedication, our scholars and staff can focus on what matters most: teaching and learning.
Please join us in thanking our incredible maintenance team for everything they do to support our school community each and every day!

Thursday, March 5th, 2026: Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Elementary is hosting their annual STEAM Night on March 5th!
Families are welcome to join us from 5 to 7 PM for an evening full of fun and creativity! We’ll have hands-on STEAM activities, our 1st ever Art Show, a bottle drive, and a book fair- all happening in one exciting night!
Bring the whole family and be part of the celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!

Monday, March 2nd, 2026: The Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse school community proudly joined schools across the country in celebrating Read Across America Day, a special day dedicated to inspiring a love of reading in students of all ages.
From exploring new genres to revisiting favorite classics, our students were reminded that reading opens the door to imagination, knowledge, and opportunity. Events like this reflect our continued commitment to literacy and academic excellence, helping our scholars build the strong foundation they need for lifelong success.
We encourage families to continue the celebration at home by setting aside time each day to read together, because every page turned is a step toward a brighter future.

Friday, February 27th, 2026: We are celebrating 101 Days of School at Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse— Dalmatian style! Join us as we celebrate 101 days of learning, growth, and hard work.
Students are invited to wear black, white, or black-and-white with spots!
It’s going to be spot-tacular!

Monday, February 16th, 2026: Please be reminded that the Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Charter Schools will be on Winter Recess from February 16th through Friday, February 20th.
Take the time off to rest and recharge. We look forward to welcoming our SAS Atoms back on Friday, February 20th!

Thursday, January 29th, 2026: The Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Elementary School's Math Night is coming up, and we are excited to share a variety of fun and engaging math activities with our students and families. The event will be held on Thursday, January 29th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Students who attend and complete all activities will earn a dress-down pass for Friday, February 6th.
We hope to see you there for an evening of learning, fun, and family engagement.

Monday, January 19th, 2026: In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school at Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse.
Let us reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of courage, equality, service, and justice. His vision continues to inspire generations to lead with kindness and make a positive impact in their communities.
School will resume on Tuesday, January 20.
